"When I was one twenty" is a poem written by Housman.
The poem was all about self irony as he recounts how he learned the hard way through actual experience what wiser people tried to teach him.I created my response through the perspective of the wise man and on how he felt. I also created my response by thinking if i was the wise man what would I say to this poem, How would I respond
When you were one-and-twenty
Reginald F. Abellanosa
When you were one-and-twenty
I told you what I knew
But you never listened,
Everything I said to you was true
Your eyes then slowly glistened
As you realize what you had done
Everything I said to you was true
Your eyes then slowly glistened
As you realize what you had done
When you were one-and-twenty
All you thought about was fun
When you were one-and-twenty
I told you once again
All the things that I had learned
All the things that I had learned
It was for us careless men
What I gave to you was plenty
As I truly cared for you
And now you're two-and-twenty
And now you're two-and-twenty
It's like you're someone new
